Spring Electronic Recycling Event

The City of Lawrence invites residents and small businesses to recycle unused or obsolete electronic equipment at the Spring 2017 Electronic Recycling Event hosted by the Solid Waste Division. Electronic equipment may contain hazardous components such as lead, mercury and cadmium. Recycling your unwanted electronic equipment keeps these hazardous components out of the landfill.
Rain or Shine Event
Electronic recycling at this event will be provided by The Surplus Exchange.
Items accepted for recycling:
Video and Audio Equipment
Cell Phones and other Hand Held Devices
Microwaves and other Small Appliances
* Recycling fee (Cash or Checks ONLY):
$20.00 per CRT television & computer monitor (all sizes, includes rear project & consoles)
Items NOT accepted:
-Large Appliances (Refrigerators, AC Units, Dehumidifiers),
-Hazardous Waste (Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors, Fluorescent Light Bulbs, Compressed Gas Cylinders), VHS tapes and CDs. Call 832-3030 to schedule a drop-off appointment at the City of Lawrence/Douglas County Household Hazardous Waste Facility.
