April 05, 2012, 6:30 pm

Dole Institute of Politics

The Dole Institute of Politics and the University of Kansas Libraries invite you to attend an intimate event presenting the personal experiences of African-American World War II veterans and how the war impacted their lives.  Set against a backdrop of the Dole Institute World War II Memory Wall, this moderated panel discussion will offer a platform for veterans to relate their personal oral history and commemorate Kansans who fought overseas and worked on the war effort at home

This program is part of a series made possible through the generous support of Dr. Sandra Gautt of Lawrence, Kan. The series is dedicated to Dr. Gautt’s father, Thaddeus Whayne, and all African-American WWII veterans.
