Spencer Museum of Art, 319, Gallery
Come view works for the first time, through a new lens, or in a deeper way, in the new gallery talk series Art in a Global Context: The Museum Collection Across the Curriculum. In the program, KU faculty members from the University's international studies centers are invited to discuss a work of art from the Spencer Museum's collection. Speakers relate themes and ideas to various disciplines across campus. For this session, Dr. Peter Haney, Asst. Director of Latin American Studies will speak on "Spectacles of discipline and color: Mexican regional costume in the art of Carolos Mérida."
